A brief history of the Milwaukee Road route from Minneapolis to the Missouri River:

06/26/21

Located just east of Cologne, this concrete slab bridge crosses a former alignment of US-212.
US-212 formerly went through the town of Cologne. However, it began bypassing the town in 1974.
When it bypassed, County 36 was created a business route. Currently, this is the route that this bridge crosses.
This structure consists of a standard concrete slab span, on concrete substructures.
Overall, the bridge remains in good condition. It is likely that the bridge has seen a rehabilitation.

The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
